Google to Devalue Pages with "Intrusive" Popups on Mobile Devices

Google has rolled out their new "interstitials penalty" on Tuesday, January 10th. In their fight against popups that cover or hide content from users on mobile devices, Google will begin to devaluing pages where popups take up an "intrusive" amount of real estate on mobile screens. 
“To improve the mobile search experience, after January 10, 2017, pages where content is not easily accessible to a user on the transition from the mobile search results may not rank as highly.”

Popular Browsers Will Begin Flagging Non-Secure Sites
