Video Transcript

0:00 Hello, this video is going to show you how to add a block template to a page. So let's jump right into Elementor.
0:08 I'm going to add it to this Accessibility Statement page. I'm going to click on Edit with Elementor, so it just launches straight into Elementor.
0:16 Back end. And here we go. Awesome. All of the templates live under this template icon here. The first thing it'll show you is the templates that Elementor provides.
0:28 These don't have styling that match your site. So we recommend not using these. Instead, go over to the My Templates tab above the options.
0:39 Once you go here, you can see all the various templates that we've saved, and their names, as well as sometimes we'll include their background color as well.
0:47 So So you can either search for the block that you want using the search bar up here, or you can just scroll through the blocks that are listed.
0:56 Let's add in this logo page template block. You just have to come over here to where the pink icon says insert, select that, and then it'll ask you if you want to apply the styling for that block.
1:08 In most instances, we, uhm, recommend that you hit don't apply, just so it doesn't override any previous blocks that have maybe a different background color or a different style applied to them.
1:20 If you hit apply, it's not a big deal. You can always just ctrl z or ctrl v. It'll go back using the history button to, uhm, reformat the previous blocks.
1:29 But if, let's hit don't apply here, it'll take a moment to load, and then you'll see it's back. And you'll in the entire page template that was associated with that specific template.
1:44 Usually, if you're doing blocks, it'll just bring in a single block, but in our sandbox, we also have the page template saved.
1:50 So this one was a page template that included a human. hero, a basic content, logos, and these other elements, uh, in a different background color.
2:00 Once you pull in the block that you want or the page template that you want, you can go through and edit it.
2:05 Um, for example, you can delete and, uh, one of these sections, you can also duplicate a different section. Like say you want to duplicate some of these items here.
2:16 You can do that very easily. And that's how you add a block template to a page. Thank you.
